Giovanni Cinà is Assistant Professor in Responsible Medical AI at the Medical Informatics department and at the Institute for Logic, Language and Computation, at the University of Amsterdam. In his work he strives to improve the impact and reliability of medical AI applications, with the ultimate goal of making healthcare more accessible and effective.
His main focus is on the methodological problems arising from the real-world implementation of AI in healthcare. In this realm he is especially interested in Explainable AI, Out-Of-Distribution detection and Causal Inference.
